We currently offer 20 PhD students the opportunity to participate in our experiential and problem-based sustainability workshop that features “In the loop”, a serious game about materials and circular economy and the “Active-learning ToolKit-Sustainable Development”, a tool to analyse various proposed sustainable technologies in the form of case studies using CES EduPack software.
The workshop is organised by the Centre for Environmental Policy of Imperial College London in collaboration with Granta Design, spin out Company of the University of Cambridge in the UK, which specialises in digital tools for Materials Education and Material Intelligence Tools for industry and In the Loop Games AB, a TU Delft University spin-off company, which specialises in physical serious games for Circular Economy Education.
The participants will have the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary groups of 4-5 members, explore sustainability issues holistically (in product manufacturing and policy-making for new technologies) understand the needs and perspectives of various stakeholders, think critically about making decisions and assess their outcomes collaboratively. The final step will require participants to reflect on their experience and share their views.
